The Santa Clause

A movie that is showing right now as we speak is The Santa Clause.  This movie is based upon a man who doesn't believe in santa and a son who is growing away from the belief.  Little do they know santa is on the  roof and dies making Tim Allan become Santa. He brings his son around and they deliver presents on the sleigh guided by reindeers.  The morning was very interesting when they had all these presents.  Will he deliver all the presents in time.  Let's go to sleep and figure out tomorrow morning. I am going to have to cut this movie short.  I am going to bed hope santa comes to my house while I am asleep.

Home Alone 2

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is a classic movie that was created in 1992, a year after i was born.  Kevin was a kid who was on his way to take a vacation with his family.  However he gets lost in the air port and takes the wrong flight and ends up in New York.  By himself he ends up staying in a hotel, make some friends, beat up enemies, and convert a run down relatives house to a booby trapped fortress for the bad guys.  Another classic Home Alone movie but does he escape this time and find his family.  A must watch!

Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle

This movie is about a couple of hippies who decide to go to white castle one night for dinner.  Only to find out that White Castle has been relocated.  The adventure to get to white castle is entreating and Harold ends up falling in love with the girl.  There a twist watch the movie to find out.  I recommend this one to watch even more than once.  Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle is suited more toward the youth/ young adult audience just as a FYI.

The Art of Flight

This is a short documentary film based upon some riders (aka snowboarders) who tear up the mountains.  This film is wildly entertaining and will put you in the mood to snowboard even if you've never snowboarded before.  The boarders are all sponsored by Red Bull and they are dropped into mountains that   have any snow at all  to board (snowboard).  The movie is about 90 minuets.  About halfway through there is a gruesome seen with some blood but if you ended up watching The Crazies then this is nothing.  I watched this movie on campus at Fairfield University in the Gonzaga auditorium and the event was sponsored by Red Bull.  At the end of the showing the man in charge of this event, Dom, gave away  few prizes in a raffle.  An interesting watch and i recommend you watch it.  You can watch the trailer for Art of Flight @ http://artofflightmovie.com/

The Crazies

Staring Timothy Olyphant, The Crazies is a movie that portrays the life of people getting infected because of the drinking water.  It all starts when a man walks onto a baseball field as a game is going on carrying a shotgun.  Olyphant playing David has to resort to shoot this man thinking he was drunk.  Olyphant is a deputy of the sheriff Russell.  Next thing they know everyone is being brought to a condemning place.  Here Russell gets split up from his wife, Judy.  He finds Judy right as she is about to get killed by one of these crazies.  There were four of them trying to escape, David, Judy, Russell and Becca.  Becca got killed by some crazies along the way and Russell ended up becoming infected by the disease so he distracted the authorities while David and Judy made a run for it.  The two of them made it into a 18 wheeler cab and drove as fast as they could away from the city meanwhile they hear on a radio the count down.  The count down for what?  The count reaches zero and the whole town was nuked.  The truck got destroyed and they walked the rest of the way to another town. This is a very violent movie but was gripping when I had watched it.  If you don't like blood and guts don't watch this movie.

The Aviator

This movie, The Aviator, took flight in 2004.  This is a story about Howard Hughes, staring Leonardo DiCaprio.  Hughes inherited a lot of wealth and had a passion to make movies and build the best airplanes since he was a child.  When he was a child his mother made him afraid of germs and this made him go crazy throughout the film.  Once he grew up he directed his first film, Hell's Angels.  This film goes on to be a three year production.  He used over 24 cameras in the making and made the film have sound after the first screening which took that third year.  This film almost put hughes in debt making it.  Then he decides to make one of the planes better by knocking off the top wing and making the whole plane wind resistance.  Then he opened up an airline called TWA.  The production of the Hercules was another plane designed to hold jeeps and tanks for the war.  Hughes got funded for this plane by the US government.  Meanwhile he was making the production of an exposed woman and the TWA airline got closed down.  There were laws put in place that allowed the competing airline to be a monopoly.  A senator took Hughes to court to try to find him guilty of something, hughes owned the senator in court, and said if the Hercules didn't fly then he would leave the country.  It was surprising that Hughes won in court due to his mental state.  The scene parallel to the court scene was the taking off of the Hercules.  It flew and the next invention was to make jets.
