This movie, The Aviator, took flight in 2004. This is a story about Howard Hughes, staring Leonardo DiCaprio. Hughes inherited a lot of wealth and had a passion to make movies and build the best airplanes since he was a child. When he was a child his mother made him afraid of germs and this made him go crazy throughout the film. Once he grew up he directed his first film, Hell's Angels. This film goes on to be a three year production. He used over 24 cameras in the making and made the film have sound after the first screening which took that third year. This film almost put hughes in debt making it. Then he decides to make one of the planes better by knocking off the top wing and making the whole plane wind resistance. Then he opened up an airline called TWA. The production of the Hercules was another plane designed to hold jeeps and tanks for the war. Hughes got funded for this plane by the US government. Meanwhile he was making the production of an exposed woman and the TWA airline got closed down. There were laws put in place that allowed the competing airline to be a monopoly. A senator took Hughes to court to try to find him guilty of something, hughes owned the senator in court, and said if the Hercules didn't fly then he would leave the country. It was surprising that Hughes won in court due to his mental state. The scene parallel to the court scene was the taking off of the Hercules. It flew and the next invention was to make jets.
