The Art of Flight

This is a short documentary film based upon some riders (aka snowboarders) who tear up the mountains.  This film is wildly entertaining and will put you in the mood to snowboard even if you've never snowboarded before.  The boarders are all sponsored by Red Bull and they are dropped into mountains that   have any snow at all  to board (snowboard).  The movie is about 90 minuets.  About halfway through there is a gruesome seen with some blood but if you ended up watching The Crazies then this is nothing.  I watched this movie on campus at Fairfield University in the Gonzaga auditorium and the event was sponsored by Red Bull.  At the end of the showing the man in charge of this event, Dom, gave away  few prizes in a raffle.  An interesting watch and i recommend you watch it.  You can watch the trailer for Art of Flight @ http://artofflightmovie.com/

The Crazies

Staring Timothy Olyphant, The Crazies is a movie that portrays the life of people getting infected because of the drinking water.  It all starts when a man walks onto a baseball field as a game is going on carrying a shotgun.  Olyphant playing David has to resort to shoot this man thinking he was drunk.  Olyphant is a deputy of the sheriff Russell.  Next thing they know everyone is being brought to a condemning place.  Here Russell gets split up from his wife, Judy.  He finds Judy right as she is about to get killed by one of these crazies.  There were four of them trying to escape, David, Judy, Russell and Becca.  Becca got killed by some crazies along the way and Russell ended up becoming infected by the disease so he distracted the authorities while David and Judy made a run for it.  The two of them made it into a 18 wheeler cab and drove as fast as they could away from the city meanwhile they hear on a radio the count down.  The count down for what?  The count reaches zero and the whole town was nuked.  The truck got destroyed and they walked the rest of the way to another town. This is a very violent movie but was gripping when I had watched it.  If you don't like blood and guts don't watch this movie.

The Aviator

This movie, The Aviator, took flight in 2004.  This is a story about Howard Hughes, staring Leonardo DiCaprio.  Hughes inherited a lot of wealth and had a passion to make movies and build the best airplanes since he was a child.  When he was a child his mother made him afraid of germs and this made him go crazy throughout the film.  Once he grew up he directed his first film, Hell's Angels.  This film goes on to be a three year production.  He used over 24 cameras in the making and made the film have sound after the first screening which took that third year.  This film almost put hughes in debt making it.  Then he decides to make one of the planes better by knocking off the top wing and making the whole plane wind resistance.  Then he opened up an airline called TWA.  The production of the Hercules was another plane designed to hold jeeps and tanks for the war.  Hughes got funded for this plane by the US government.  Meanwhile he was making the production of an exposed woman and the TWA airline got closed down.  There were laws put in place that allowed the competing airline to be a monopoly.  A senator took Hughes to court to try to find him guilty of something, hughes owned the senator in court, and said if the Hercules didn't fly then he would leave the country.  It was surprising that Hughes won in court due to his mental state.  The scene parallel to the court scene was the taking off of the Hercules.  It flew and the next invention was to make jets.

A man named David is facing reality.  He meets the girl of his dreams but the Adjustment Bureau (God) will not allow them to meet again.  This story portrays the mystery of faith.  In order to live he can't tell anyone that he is talking to the adjustment bureau but he needs to find this girl.  He saw behind a curtain that he wasn't suppose to know existed. (Trailer)  He doesn't give up until he finds this girl, searching the place he last left her, while fighting off the adjustment bureau.  I am not giving up the ending on this one ladies and gents.  Your going to have to watch this one.

Who's Behind the Taxi's Wheel

The movie Taxi Driver is a very interesting movie about a man who is rather lonesome in his mid late 20's early thirties.  He spots a fine bird (woman) while sitting outside her work.  From that point on he knew there was chemistry.  What he did was sit outside her work and just watch her from a distance eventually she caught on to him.  Travis (the taxi driver) worked up the courage to barge into the election promotion office and ask this stranger out on a date.  She accepted to go on her 4 o'clock coffee break.  The date went well and they started dating.  However, later Travis took Betsey to a dirty film.  Betsey was appalled and didn't want to see Travis anymore.
Travis tried contacting Betsey and even went to her work to ask her why she didn't want to see him.  Travis went about his life.  He purchased a few guns and met a prostate that was twelve years old.  He wanted to help her and set her free back to her parents.  The moment was right it was time the president was about to announce his acceptance speech and Travis was ready too.  He was all strapped and ready to go.
What happened to the President?  What happened to the 12 year old prostitute? And What happened to the girl he had love for?

If you want to know i recommend you watch the movie it was a rather interesting one, a must see.

Is it a show or a movie?

Is it a game or real life?  Gamer staring Genard Butler and Logan Lurman.  The movie is based on a virtual, but real life video game world.  Convicts sentence for life have a choice to play in this video game against computer trying to make it to a designated safe zone.  If the murder row convicts decides to indeed participate in this "game"  then they have to survive 30 rounds without getting killed.  These inmates are controlled by individual gamers in the "real world".  The main character is Genard Butler, the convicted inmate, he survives these 30 rounds by being a "bad ass" because his god like contoller, Logan Lurman, is a "bad ass".  Eventually Lurman is able to communicate with Butler and finds out to win these 30 rounds without dying he needs to give up control of Butler.  Butler survive but what happens next.  Scroll down to find out otherwise watch the show.

The message of the movie is portayed to state that life is not a game and just because these convicts are on murder row doesn't mean you can comand people to kill these real life people.  It is real life.

Butler's 30th round gets cut off because the man in charge of the game doesn't like how Butler's winning.  Butler finds his wife makes it so she can think for herself, kills the man in charge of running the game and lives happily ever after with his wife and daughter he hasn't seen in four years.

First Day

Today's classes were very intersting.  My first class began at eleven am and ended at twelve fifteen.  This class was information systems.  The author of the book that we're going to use in class was written by Curtis Frye, the same name as myself.  Information Systems seems rather interesting and practical.  This class will keep me attentive because we will be learning important tool to use that famous people have also used such as Mark Zuckerburg, Bill Gates, and Steve Jobs. Hopefully a lot will be learned to help strenthen my business knowledge.
The next class that I attended was Marketing.  My professor was very knowledgeable but maybe it was just because I was so intreaged having it be my major in all.  Anyways we learnt about how some brand names have lasted up to hundredes of years.  A good icon, punchline and targeted audience, that company will be one of the 5-6% companys that make it in society.  After this i ate lunch and was talking to my friend Amanda briefely.  This is my first blog, not sure if this is how to write a blog. The Next Will Be Better.
Peace Out
